Blanca Guoz dies at 82

DOWNEY - Blanca Margarita Guoz, 82, died peacefully in Downey on Feb. 9.She was born Sept. 17, 1929 in Guatemala, the daughter of Jose Rodolfo Luna de Leon and Julia Pena del Valle. In 1960, she married Ricardo Guoz in Guatemala and moved to California a few years later with her husband and eldest son. She raised her two sons in Downey while working for Sears. After retiring from Sears, she traveled with her husband to many distant locations. Blanca is survived by her two brothers, Julio Cesar Luna, of Philadelphia, and Rodolfo Luna, of Guatemala; sons Ronald and Jaime; and three grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday at All Souls Mortuary in Long Beach. Prayer service begins at 1 p.m.
