'Best of Doo-Wop' at Cerritos Center

CERRITOS -- Hall of fame pop group The Duprees will headline a "Best of Doo-Wop" concert at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, Jan. 16. 

The Duprees had a series of hit records in the 1960s, reaching the Top 40 with love ballads such as "Have You Heard," "My Own True Love," "Why Don't You Believe Me," and "You Belong to Me."

The group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2006.

Also scheduled to perform is Jimmy Clanton ("Another Sleepless Night," "Just a Dream"); The Solitaires ("The Wedding," "Walking Along"); Tony Middleton ("Church Bells May Ring," "My Dear Dearest Darling"); and Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon ("Tallahassee Lassie," "Way Down Yonder in New Orleans").
