BBQ for Gauldin kids

DOWNEY - The community is invited to Independence Park on Friday to honor students from Gauldin Elementary who spent the summer cleaning their neighborhoods with help from Keep Downey Beautiful.The Aug. 27 celebration is from 11 a.m. to 4 pm. Students will be honored at 11:30 a.m. followed by a barbecue at noon. Fun and games are from 1-4 p.m.
