Theater application deadline looms

DOWNEY - An Oct. 25 deadline is approaching for Downey-based non-profits looking to apply for a discount to use the Downey Theatre.To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be a California non-profit, based in Downey, have a board of directors or officers, carry liability insurance, and have records of the current and previous year's financial statements including the current year's operating budget. Applications are online at downeytheatre.com/home/finance. They will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Oct. 25 at the Parks and Recreation administrative offices at Apollo Park.
