Teen arrested for father's killing

DOWNEY - Police have not released a motive for last week's fatal shooting of a 40-year-old Downey man, allegedly killed by his teenage son.Efrain Gainza Jr. is believed to have been shot by his 15-year-old son at their home on the 8500 block of Fontana St. last Friday. Gainza's son called police at about 9 a.m. and reported to dispatchers he had just shot and killed his father. The father was still in bed when he was shot, according to reports. Police interviewed the teenager and later arrested him for the killing. His name has not been released.
