Restaurant honors Marine Corps birthday

DOWNEY - Bastards BBQ is hosting its second annual Marine Corps Birthday Bash - celebrating 238 years of tradition and dedication by the U.S. Marine Corps - this Sunday from 2-10 p.m.The outdoor event is presented in conjunction with the Marine Corps League Det. No. 1360 and includes a clothing drive, live bands, beer garden and Marine Corps birthday ceremony. Several vendors will be on-site, including the Gardena Veteran Center's mobile truck. The restaurant is at 11045 Downey Ave.
