Kaiser donates $95K to Compton groups

DOWNEY - Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center donated $95,800 this week in support of nonprofit organizations based in Compton.The money will be distributed among six non-profit groups in support of gang prevention programs; teen pregnancy prevention; medical care and education for diabetic patients; vision care screenings and glasses for veterans and the homeless; and one-on-one mentoring and job shadowing for Compton youth.
