Dismukes House opening for tours

DOWNEY - The historic Dismukes House at Apollo Park will host an open house Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and it will be decorated for Christmas just as it would have been in the late 1800s.The 1880s farmhouse is the oldest house in Downey and consists of a living room, kitchen and bedroom. It is maintained by the Downey Historical Society. The house is at 12540 Rives Ave.
