D-Day survivor to talk about experiences

DOWNEY - Charles Despain, a World War II veteran and D-Day survivor, will be guest speaker at a special Veterans Day-themed meeting of the Downey Christian Women's Club on Nov. 13.The meeting begins at 11:30 at Los Amigos Country Club. Both men and women can attend. Admission is $15 and includes a buffet lunch. Reservations are requested by calling Anita at (562) 861-3414.
