City Council taking bus tour of Downey

DOWNEY - The City Council will taking a bus tour Friday morning, Oct. 11, to evaluate and discuss the infrastructure needs of Downey.

The tour is an official public meeting and residents are allowed to ride along in the bus.

The meeting begins at 10 a.m. at City Hall and will include stops at Civic Center Drive and 3rd Street; the Firestone Boulevard project area; Apollo Park; the Rancho Los Amigos south campus; the intersection of Imperial Highway and Paramount Boulevard; Furman Park; Lakewood Boulevard north of Florence; Rio San Gabriel Park; Wilderness Park; the Civic Center; and city-owned facilities such as City Hall, the police department, library and Downey Theatre.
