Trombley installed as chamber president
DOWNEY – Elizabeth Trombley, public affairs director for Kaiser Permanente, was sworn in as the 111th president of the Downey Chamber of Commerce last week. Trombley replaces outgoing president Patty Kotze-Ramos.
Installation ceremonies took place at the Rio Hondo Event Center. Councilman Alex Saab served as Master of Ceremonies and city manager Gilbert Livas was the installing officer.
In addition to Trombley and Kotze-Ramos, the chambers 2014-15 officers include president-elect Cindy Kovach (U.S. Bank), vice president David Gafin (CPA) and treasurer Delores Bacus (Saywell Florist).
Returning directors include Dr. Joel Bird (Downey Integrative Wellness Center), Roy Corral (Farmers Insurance), Steve Lopez (Law Offices of Steve Lopez), Karina Madariaga (Downey Adult School), Tatiana Paton (Embassy Suites), Laurie Tyler (Financial Partners Credit Union) and Jeannie Wood (Albertson’s).
Three incoming directors were sworn-in as well: Ozzie Carranza (Famers Insurance), John Casillas (Farmers & Merchants Bank) and Joanna Peterson (Gallatin Dental Group).
