: ‘Observe the Moon Night’ Sept. 6

DOWNEY – International Observe the Moon Night will be observed at the Columbia Memorial Space Center on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. A presentation titled “From Formation to Exploration” will start at 8 p.m.

Telescope viewings, provided by the Columbia Astronomers, will be offered on the space center’s front lawn. The club will also be photographing the moon and placing digitized images on a thumb drive, free of charge.

Admission to the space center is $5 but all outdoor activities are free.
