Miracle recovery

Dear Editor: In reading Sandra Guerrero’s inspiring letter of her daughter Melissa’s miracle recovery from a traumatic brain injury (“Hospital Miracle,” Letters to the Editor, 7/24/14), I was reminded of another hospital miracle some years ago.

A lady I had been visiting on a regular basis in the then Downey Community Hospital had been comatose for almost 30 days; her husband was even beginning to contemplate funeral arrangements.

At the onset we had her on the prayer list at our church, Downey First Presbyterian.

As you have probably surmised, she recovered, awoke from her coma and was able to continue living a happy and grateful life.

I’m so happy for Sandra and wish her and her daughter many happy and healthy years! God deserves all the credit.
