Mary Alice Taylor

Born in Quincy, ILL. on June 16, 1920 passed away on July 18, 2014 of natural causes in Downey, CA with family at her side. Mary just celebrated her 94th birthday.  Mary and husband Burl Taylor (deceased) bought their 1st home in Downey, CA in 1952. They lived on “The Island” for 62 years. Mary was the manager at Toyville in Stonewood Shopping Center for many years. She was an avid golfer and belonged to the Rio Hondo Women’s Country Club. Mary loved gardening and caring for her roses. You could always see her in her yard and she always had a wave and a hello for you. Mary is survived by her daughters Gaila Rains (Vic) and Sharon Heater (Gary) and her sons Craig Taylor (Mary deceased) and Larry Taylor (deceased). She also had 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
