Latin rock at Furman Park

DOWNEY – Latin rock group Sonsoles will perform Wednesday at Furman Park as part of the city’s concerts in the park series. Sonsoles (pronounced sown-so-les) is a young ensemble of musicians from Spain, Mexico, Los Angeles and El Salvador. The band has performed around the country, including at Dodger Stadium, Staples Center and in Miami.

The group was founded in 2008 by keyboardist Steve Baltazar and bassist Cesar Abrego. Other band members include Jose Hernandez and lead guitar and vocals and drummer Lonnie Moreno.

The concert begins at 7 p.m.
