Kathleen Reuter mourned
DOWNEY – Downey resident Kathleen Reuter died April 19 with her daughters at her side. She moved to Downey in the early 1960s and successfully operated Downey Business Service. She moved to the state of Washington after selling her business but returned to Downey a few years later.
She nearly died of a brain aneurism in 1986. After more than a month at Downey Community Hospital and brain surgery, she started a new business, Downey Office Supply. She retired in 2002 and moved to Henderson, Nev.
Kathleen returned to Downey for her final days of battling lung cancer.
She is survived by her daughters, Clara and Karen; grandchildren, Billy, Kirstin and Alexander; and a great grandchild, Flynn.
