Housing applications available next week

DOWNEY – Applications for The View, the downtown affordable housing complex, will be available Oct. 3-4 in the Downey Theatre patio area, and also on the city’s website. Here are the parameters:

•Only one pre- application will be accepted

•Applicants will be selected from a lottery process in October 2014

•The pre-application can be submitted by mail or fax

•Applications will not be accepted after 5 p.m. on October 17, 2014

•Residency or work preferences may apply

Applications can be picked up at the theater Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For questions, call National Community Renaissance at (562) 287-4897.

The View is scheduled to open in January.
