Hardware store awards $1K prize

DOWNEY – Donald Tovar was chosen as the winner of Hometown Hardware & Garden’s $1,000 shopping giveaway on Sept. 3. Tovar was selected at random from more than 2,100 entries submitted at the store from June through August.

“Everyone has a few extra chores this time of year, and we’re glad that Donald was able to choose whatever he wanted to get the job done,” said Greg Fuller and Ray Brown, owners of Hometown Hardware & Garden. “We thank all those who entered the giveaway for their participation.”

Hometown Hardware & Garden, located near the corner of Paramount Boulevard and Florence Avenue, celebrated its second anniversary this past July.
