Furman Park track

Dear Editor: Furman Park in Downey is involved in a huge project to install a walking trail around the perimeter of the park.

The project also involves the removing and re-establishing the complete sprinkler system which surrounds the entire park.

The construction workers at the park do not work on Saturdays and Sundays. They also do not work on Fridays, Thursdays or Wednesdays. They do work on Mondays and Tuesdays...but not all the time.

I hope the City Council can complete the project before winter sets in. If not, the council members will surely have a mess on their hands come winter.
