Furman Park

Dear Editor: I am upset that both playgrounds at Furman Park are under construction during our kids’ summer vacation period.

The playgrounds are appropriate for children aged 2-12. School was out June 19 and that same week the playgrounds were shut down. I learned it should be complete by the end of July, if not early August.

I would like to hear the reasons from the Planner/Director or whomever approved the demolition at this precise time.

Our neighborhood kids deserve some fun at the park and this timing is nothing but whack!
