Free trade

Dear Editor: Dan Cristea brings many important points about free trade agreements to the fore.

In my 50-plus adult years, I have always advocated an open-trade position as I firmly believe that it is the most beneficial arrangement for both business and consumers.

But I believe that we only need one over-riding principle to guide us: Complete and Absolute Reciprocity – we will treat your goods when they enter the United States in the same manner in which you treat our goods when they enter your country!
