Free business workshop

DOWNEY – Tax-411 in Downey is hosting a free small business seminar this Tuesday, Aug. 26, from 7-9 p.m. Guests will learn how to start a business; the advantages of filing as a DBA or incorporated; the difference between fiscal and quarterly taxes; bookkeeping; business assets; how balance sheets and payroll work; how workers compensation works; trademarks and service marks; and how to brand a business.
