Frances Ruth Gillett

Frances Ruth Gillett passed away June 6, 2014. She was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on October 22, 1921. A resident of Downey for 50 years then moved to La Verne for 2 years. She worked for Downey Unified School District as an assistant food services supervisor for 30 years. She was a wonderful cook, and role model for her family. She is survived by her husband Robert Gillett. They just celebrated their 77th anniversary on June 1, 2014.

She leaves 1 daughter Nancy Roberts of San Dimas. 3 grand children – Cheryl Rudolph of La Verne, Mike Roberts of San Dimas and Carol Dyck of Oregon. 5 great grandchildren – April Rudolph of Long Beach, Carie Rudolph of San Dimas, Alec Roberts of Rancho Cucamonga, Robert Dyck of Los Angeles and Jennifer Cannon of Detroit, Michigan.
