Eastern Star club plans fundraisers

DOWNEY – Worthy Matron Robin Logan and Worthy Patron Jim Myers, of Downey Chapter No. 160 Order of the Eastern Star, have planned their annual “Baked Potato Bash” for Tuesday, June 24. They will be serving the baked potato with all the trimmings: chili, onions, cheese, sour cream, etc. Price is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children ages 10 and younger.

The dinner is from 5-8 p.m. on the second floor of the Masonic Center located at Downey Avenue and 3rd Street. The public is welcome.

The organization is also planning a bowling night July 16 in partnership with the Masons, Job’s Daughters and DeMolay, and a fundraiser July 29 at the Frantone’s Pizza in Cerritos.

The group’s next regularly scheduled meeting is July 1.
