Downey woman earns scholarship

DOWNEY – Sandra Giron of Downey has been awarded a $2,000 scholarship from the GM Women’s Retail Network to further her studies in automotive retailing at Northwood University in Cerritos. GM, its dealers and other partners have presented nearly $75,000 in scholarships since 2011 to women in the U.S. and Canada.
