Dear Editor: The July 4 edition prompts this letter. With your chosen name I expected to see at least one article or commentary on patriotism but what did I find?

A four column spread furnished by Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard pitching spending incalculable amounts of money to pay for lawyers to defend the illegal migrants and set them up for a dependant life at the taxpayers’ expense.

Then another in the constant long articles by Lee Hamilton, Democrat from Indiana, and a hit piece by Linda Sanchez, Democrat, that states the Republican governor and legislature of North Carolina are guilty of some horrible thing but she gives zero information as what she is talking about.

Perhaps the paper’s name would be more fitting if it were changed to The Downey Democrat.
