Date set for Walk for Life

DOWNEY – Mark your calendars: the fifth annual Walk for Life benefiting the Sean Vernon Feliciano Amazing Day Foundation will take place March 7, 2015 in Belmont Shore. Next year’s event may incorporate a 5K and 10K run/walk, said Bob Feliciano, the foundation’s executive director.

“The course has been tentatively submitted and approved by the city of Long Beach,” he said.

Feliciano formed the foundation after the death of his son, Sean, in 2009. The foundation works to raise awareness of suicide among college students.

The Walk for Life was held in Downey for three years before relocating to Long Beach, where it could better reach college students.
