Coffee shop launches poetry night

NORWALK – A new coffee shop and bookstore in Norwalk is seeking poets for its new series of Friday night open mics, beginning Oct. 3. “Since we’re still in the early stages, we’d like to give a head’s up to our fellow artists in the Norwalk/Downey area so that you can join us,” is the message from Leche Cafe & Bookstore, located at 11723 Firestone Blvd.

The open mic events will also feature live music and art.
