Child abuse center hosting Golf Classic

DOWNEY – The Community Family Guidance Center, a non-profit mental health agency for children and families, will host its 24th annual Golf Classic at the Rio Hondo Golf Club on May 19. The tournament will benefit the center’s “Campaign to Build Strong Families and Prevent Child Abuse” in support of child abuse programs.

“By addressing child abuse at every stage of the cycle, we aim to help those who have already been abused and prevent further abuse,” said the center’s executive director, Richard Murase. “As an organization with years of experience in child abuse prevention, education and treatment, we are well placed to make this a reality with the support of the community.”
