Blue Mass for police, fire

DOWNEY – The 10th annual Blue Mass dedicated to the Downey police and fire departments will be held Thursday, Sept. 11, at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. The Mass is dedicated for police and fire personnel “and is a time, as a community, to pray for their continued safety and protection throughout the year.”

Police officers and firefighters from other jurisdictions are invited to attend as well.

A reception will immediately follow the Mass in the Carey Center.
