32 arrested at checkpoint

BELLFLOWER – Thirty-two people were arrested at a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint in Bellflower on April 10. The checkpoint was located on Artesia Boulevard, just east of Lakewood Boulevard.

Of the 32 arrests, 18 were for driving without a valid driver’s license. Another six drivers were arrested for driving on suspended or revoked licenses.

Three people were charged with driving while under the influence of marijuana, and one driver was arrested for allegedly driving while drunk and high.
