Tennis club marks 47 years

DOWNEY - The Downey Tennis Club celebrated its 47th anniversary at Independence Park on June 22 with a barbecue luncheon and three hours of competitive tennis.New adult members are always welcome to join the club, which meets at the park Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. For more details, call Jean Jones at (562) 927-4820.
