Kids invited to meet police officers

DOWNEY - In celebration of National Police Week, Downey police officers will be at the Downey City Library next week reading to children.Children will get to meet an officer who will read stories, answer questions and describe life as a police officer. Parents and preschool children ages 3-5 can attend Tuesday and Wednesday between 10:30-11 a.m. The event is free and open to individual parents and caregivers - no groups.
