Free prom dresses for Downey girls

DOWNEY - Local teenage girls in need of a formal dress for prom can pick one up for free this Saturday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Parley Johnson house, 7749 Florence Ave.The giveaway is sponsored by the Assistance League of Downey's teen auxiliary, the Assisteens. Girls can receive a free evening gown, shoes, jewelry and handbag, along with discount certificates to local businesses.
