Free food for Downey seniors

DOWNEY - Residents ages 60 and older are invited to pick up a free food kit outside the Barbara J. Riley Community and Senior Center this Tuesday between 1-3 p.m.The food kit contains protein, canned fruits and vegetables, breakfast and lunch whole grain items, and five pounds of fresh produce. The food is free. Family members can pick up the food on behalf of a senior citizen in their family if they have the person's ID.
