4 arrested at checkpoint

DOWNEY - Four people were arrested at a DUI/driver's license checkpoint near Imperial Highway and Rives Avenue last week.Two people face charges of driving while intoxicated, another is accused of illegal possession of drugs and one driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Seventy-five drivers were issued citations for driving on a suspended or revoked license, or for having no license at all. Another checkpoint is scheduled for June "as part of our ongoing commitment to lowering deaths and injuries upon our streets and highways," police officials said. Photos from last Friday's checkpoint are posted on the Patriot's Facebook page.
