Homeless shelter

Dear Editor:There have been Letters to the Editor in the paper about homelessness in Downey. Could the property on the south side of Imperial (used to be part of Rancho Los Amigos) be used for a homeless shelter? Rancho has a history of being home to the disadvantaged. I know that property belongs to L.A. County, but maybe something could be worked out. Donna Siemann Downey
