Former Norwalk ice skating instructor arrested for child molestation
A children's ice skating coach who previously worked at a Norwalk ice rink has been arrested for allegedly sexually molesting a boy and investigators think there may be more victims. Donald Vincent, 29, was arrested at his Torrance home Friday, authorities said today.
The allegations first surfaced in December, when the victim, who is now 17, told a friend that Vincent abused him when he was between the ages of 12-15. The alleged abuse is said to have taken place at Vincent's Hacienda Heights home.
The victim's friend encouraged him to report the alleged abuse to authorities, who launched an investigation.
Vincent was arrested on felony child molestation charges and is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
Vincent previously worked for Norwalk Ice, which is now closed. He has also worked at ice skating rinks in Artesia, Lakewood, Paramount, Harbor City, Anaheim and Riverside.
Anyone with information on more potential victims is asked to call investigators at (877) 710-5273.
