Wrestling fundraiser Thursday

DOWNEY - Tom Houts, principal of Downey High School, will slip into a singlet and grapple with sophomore heavyweight Robert Chism at a campus fundraiser Thursday.Faculty and staff composed of teachers, coaches, administrators and campus security guards will go toe-to-toe with the Division V CIF champions. Proceeds from the event will help the team purchase championship rings, in addition to helping the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Relay for Life and senior class of 2010. Tickets are $5 pre-sale or $7 at the door. The event begins at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium.
