'Wizard of Oz' in Bellflower

BELLFLOWER - Talented youth from Bellflower and other local cities will present "The Wizard of Oz" at the Bristol Civic Auditorium in Bellflower May 4-6.The family-friend presentation features the classic songs "Over the Rainbow," "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" and "If I Only Had a Brain." "We are extremely excited to be producing this timeless classic at the Bristol Auditorium," said Steve Dollinger, president of the Youth Cultural Arts Foundation, which is producing the show. "YCAF has been in existence for 13 years. For the first time in our history, we are proud to have families of our actors come together to work alongside our wonderful board of directors, helping to build and paint sets, assist the costume designer with wardrobe and volunteer in other areas."
