Warren robotics team competes in championships

DOWNEY - A robotics team from Warren High School faced international competition at the 2012 VEX Robotics World Championships held two weeks ago at the Anaheim Convention Center.The Warren team, coached by engineering teacher Glenn Yamasaki and sponsored by the Columbia Memorial Space Center, finished 5-5 and placed in the top 10 percent. The championship tournament was the culmination of a year's worth of regional competitions. More than 8,000 students comprising 600 robotics teams from 17 different countries competed in the four-day event.
