Warren High freshman arrested for online threat

DOWNEY -- A Warren High freshman was arrested today after threatening on Instagram that he would shoot up the campus. The threat appeared online Wednesday and warned that a shooting would occur on campus March 20.

The Instagram page had no photos, but in its description field it claimed “there’s gonna be a gun shooting on MARCH, 20 so get prepared.”

Police said they were able to quickly identify the suspect and arrest him on campus without incident.

“We have no information to indicate any further threat to students or faculty,” police said.
