Volunteers recognized at awards dinner

DOWNEY - Nearly three dozen community volunteers were recognized last week for their decades of service.The awards event was hosted by the Downey Coordinating Council, which has honored local volunteers annually for 58 years. Each honoree received certificates of appreciation from local, state and federal politicians.
