Vietnam vet seeks Navy buddy

DOWNEY – A Vietnam veteran is hoping the Downey community can reunite him with a long lost friend and shipmate. Arthur Robert Traendley wrote to the city clerk’s office recently, hoping to be put in touch with Stephen Lee Huddleston, whose last known place of residence is Downey.

Traendley and Huddlestone served together on the U.S.S. Wexford County (LST-1168) in 1968 during the Vietnam War.
