Vera Sanchez was longtime resident

DOWNEY – Vera Alice Sanchez, a homemaker who had lived in Downey for more than 60 years, died recently. 

She was born in Ogden, Utah in 1921, and was the last survivor of eight siblings. 

She is survived by her husband, Toby Sanchez; son, Terry (Nancy) Sanchez; daughter, Karen (Terry) Sanchez Montgomery; and grandchildren, Geoffrey Sanchez, Katie Sanchez and Tobias Washburn. 

Services will be held at Miller Mies Mortuary in Downey on June 20 at 10 a.m.
