Trace Adkins, Boz Scaggs set to play Cerritos Center
CERRITOS – Two timeless legends are shaking up the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) this summer before the 2023-24 Season officially kicks off.
Grammy-nominated multi-platinum country star Trace Adkins performs his hits on Tuesday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m.
Since his debut in 1996, The Grand Ole Opry member has sold more than 11 million albums, charting 20 songs on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 while catapulting 15 singles into the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart with timeless gems such as the No. 1 “This Ain’t (No Thinkin’ Thing),” “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” and “Hillbilly Bone.”
Adkins has collaborated with a slew of music’s hottest acts, including Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, Keb’ Mo’, and Melissa Etheridge. Ticket prices start at $79.
Rolling Stone magazine praised Boz Scaggs’ appeal and technique: “He sneaks up on a song, allows it to gain momentum, and only then turns the passion loose.”
Known for his raspy, throaty vocals, the multi-Platinum-selling singer-songwriter has had a long and varied career, lighting up the scene with gems such as the Grammy-nominated Blues collection Come on Home and the No. One But Beautiful. His acclaimed album Silk Degrees delivered the Top 40 hit Lido Shuffle and the Grammy-winning Lowdown. His recent album is Out of the Blues.
Scaggs will perform at the CCPA on Saturday, August 19 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $69.
