The Downey Lions Club

The Downey Lions Club is selling commemorative stuffed lions for $5 as it raises money for Downey’s hosting of Special Olympics athletes later this summer. As an official host city, Downey will provide food and shelter to 100 athletes and coaches during the Special Olympics World Games, which begin July 25.

Checks can be made payable to the Downey Lions Club, note Special Olympics in memo, and mailed to P.O. Box 40218, Downey, CA 90239.
