The Chan family in New York

The Chan family – Gary, Andrew, Allyssa and Chan -- is pictured with the “Survivor Tree” at the World Trade Center memorial in New York City. In October 2001, the tree was discovered at Ground Zero severely damaged, with snapped roots and burned and broken branches. It is the only blooming tree in the park, and stands as a living reminder of resilience, survival and rebirth of America. “We learned and reflected about our great country and the people who make up our great nation.”
