Thailand dance troupe to perform

DOWNEY - A team of dancers from Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand, will perform at First Presbyterian Church of Downey on March 25 at 7 p.m.The 1 1/2-hour program will feature dances from the various regions of Thailand, as well as a traditional Thai melodrama with English translation. The performance is produced by the university's Christian Communications Institute, whose is to "communicate Christian truths through the use of Thai cultural expressions." The event is free but guests can contribute toward the troupe's tour expenses.
