Students can learn MLA style
DOWNEY - Students can learn to create a works-cited bibliography using the MLA format at a free class hosted by the Downey City Library on Wednesday.The class is free to teens ages 13-19. It will be offered from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Cormack Room. Students will learn how to use the "MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers," published by the Modern Language Association of America. Librarian Julia Butler will show how to cite books, magazines and newspaper articles, electronic resources and Internet websites used for research papers.
